One more pleasant day spent out on Malabar Headland. Again, my aim was to photograph the Peregrine Falcons. This visit they were reasonable active and during my time there, one brought back two dead birds – presumably to feed young chicks. That is good news.

On my way out, I photographed some Yellow-tailed Black Cockatoos. I noticed later when looking at the photos that one of them had a type of backpack. Perhaps a GPS tracker?

Here are some photos of the Peregrine Falcons –

This one eventually took off –

And then landed again.

It then flew off and returned not long after with a bird it had caught.

It then flew off with the bird. It probably flew into the nest to deliver the bird to young or its mate. I later spotted it on a sunny ledge. I again waited to see if it would take off.

A false alarm! It was just stretching its wings – which is sign it may take off soon.

Now for a take off –

Again it returned with a bird.

This time it didn’t spend much time on this ledge. It flew off with the bird to its nest area –

Then it did some more flying –

In the photo above, its just about to fly out of sight into the nest.
Here are some of the other birds around –

New Holland Honeyeater

Superb Fairywren
And some of the flowers –

This time I didn’t spot any whales.
