Curra Moors Walk – 19 October 2019

I had been on an amazing walk along the Curra Moors a few months earlier. It was an incredible experience with an amazing display of wild flowers. It was time to make a repeat visit to see what had changed.

This time I was with Digi Dave. The flowers were different, but equally stunning. Here are some –

The orchid were especially good.

We found some Copper Beard Orchids –

Some Flying Duck Orchids –

Some Slender Onion Orchids –

And one Sun Orchid –

The Grass trees had been excellent on the previous visit. They were still quite good –

There was also this smaller species –

And some nice heath –

As we got closer to the coast, there was abundant Kunzea –

We soon reached Eagle Rock and found a shady cave for lunch.

We then continued around the loop. More fine views and nice flowers.

The last part was back up the track to the carpark. It had been an excellent day out.
