Fungi at Chatswood – 3 August 2020

It had been quite wet about a week before, so I was hoping some late season fungi may be out at Ferndale Park and Blue Gum Reserve at Chatswood.

I started out at Ferndale Park, then walk to Blue Gum Reserve. I was a bit disappointed with the fungi I found. There was a not a lot out and little of what I found was fresh.

Ferndale Park

Humidicutis sp. The Ferndale Park – green-pink waxcap

I only found three of this species. The two above, and the one below, which has changed to pink.

This is a lower view –

There were some red waxcaps out, mostly small. Hygrocybe sp.

I found one Gliophorus graminicolor  –

And there were few clusters of Camarophyllopsis sp.

Descolea recedens

There were a number of these clubs growing on a log. Perhaps Macrotyphula juncea.

Aleurina ferruginea

Clavaria zollingeri

Blue Gum Reserve

Not very much that I could find.

Gliophorus graminicolor

Hygrocybe reesiae

Hygrocybe anomala var. anomala
