Cooks River Exercise Walk – 27 August 2021

Day 62 of Lockdown. This was an afternoon walk down the Cooks River to Tempe and back. As usual I took a camera with me.

Compared to other trips (and there have been a lot lately), I didn’t see too many birds. And no Kingfishers this time. But some of the other birds were nice. Here are some –

Little Pied Cormorant

Royal Spoonbill

Australasian Darter

I saw two, the one in the first photo, near Illawarra Road, and this one, lower down the river.

Here is a Willie Wagtail at Gough Whitlam Park.

At Waterworth Park, I saw this large flock of Little Corellas

On the walk back, I saw this Little Pied Cormorant fishing in the Billabong at Gough Whitlam Park.
