Cooks River and Barton Park Birds Again – 31 August 2021

Day 66 of Lockdown. I decided to repeat the trip I had done the previous morning. I set off on my bike down the Cooks River. This time, I spent more time on the Cooks River at the start, photographing two of Sacred Kingfishers I spotted near Gough Whitlam Park.

The Kingfishers are always good to see.

Its a lot harder getting flight shots wheel they are in the mangroves.

I saw a third Sacred Kingfisher at Cahill Park.

At Barton Park, I first visited Landing Lights Wetland. It was a lot quieter than the  day before.

Here is a White-faced Heron

And some photos of the Pied Stilts

At the top area of Barton Park, I saw some of the usual Red-browed Finches

And here are some New Holland Honeyeaters

A Silvereye

A Red Wattlebird

Anda Noisy Miner

Here is a Yellow-rumped Thornbill

No birds of note on the ride home.
