Birds at the Central Coast Wetlands – 3 April 2022

I spent a nice day at the Central Coast Wetlands (Old Pioneer Dairy) at Wyong. I saw aa good range of birds, but nothing too special or unusual.

Here are some of the birds I saw –

White-faced Heron

Superb Fairy-wren

Golden-headed Cisticola

Australasian Reedwarbler

Straw-necked Ibis

There are two Straw-necked Ibis and a number of Australian White Ibis –

Red-rumped Parrot

Australasian Darter

Australasian Figbird

Perhaps a Grey Shrikethrush

Welcome Swallow

Great Egret

Cattle Egrets

Pied Stilt

Little Black Cormorants

And some of the raptors –

Juvenile White-bellied Sea Eagle

It was being harassed by Ravens.

It flew past again, later in the day.

Black-shouldered Kite

Whistling Kite

It had been a reasonable day. Some of the creeks were impassible so that limited me to some extent.

Thanks to Michael Crawley and Sam for some id suggestions and corrections.
