It was time for the monthly bird survey along the Cooks River with the Mudlarks. As usual, the group met at the Lang St Bridge at 7am, and this month the survey was going to be downstream.
Here are some of the birds we saw along the way –

This Eastern Rosella was a bit shy –

These Tawny Frogmouths at Marrickville Golf Course were a little outside the survey area, so not included in the numbers.
At the Dibble Street Waterhole – we saw this Dusky Moorhen –
And a single Tawny Frogmouth –
Here is one of the Rainbow Lorikeets enjoying the nectar of the Norfolk Island Hibiscus –
Back in the Golf Course are of the survey, a Little Corella –
And another Australasian Figbird –
As usual the group finished with morning tea at one of the picnic tables at Ewen Park Many thanks to Jennifer for organising it!
