Wolli Creek Walk – 25 February 2023

After the Greenway Bird Survey, I headed to Bexley North and had a pleasant walk down the Two valleys Track along Wolli Creek to Turrella. I was interested to see what fungi was out, and also I planned to photograph any birds I saw.

First, the fungi. I did not find much out.

Leucocoprinus fragilissimus

Mycena sp.

Perhaps Abortiporus biennis

Further along near Bardwell Park, in a grassy section, I once again saw this slime mould on the blades of grass. It is spot where I have seen exactly the same slime mould before.

I think these are insect eggs –

Water Skink

Just before the Flying Fox Camp is an old depression era swimming pool

And for some of the birdsI saw –

Red-browed Finch

Variegated Fairy-wren

White-browed Scrubwren

White-faced Heron
