I spent a few hours at Sydney Park at St Peters, wandering around with my camera.
Here are some of the birds I saw –
Noisy Miner – reminding us that they are Honeyeaters –
Magpie Lark and Dollarbird
Dollarbird
Australasian Grebes
The one above has small fish.
There were two Grebes in the island pond, and three in the large pond.
Eurasian Coots
Australasian Darters
I saw one flying high overhead, and another perched near the large pond.
Black Swans
The adult swans were in the large pond. Their last cygnet vanished a few days earlier. Perhaps eaten by foxes, eels or a bird of prey?
White-faced Herons
Little Pied Cormorant
