It had been a while since I had visited Sassafras Gully at Springwood to look for fungi. I had visited Birdwood Gully on the other (north) side of Springwood quite a few times recently and thought it was time to even things up a bit. on this trip – I went down the track from Sassafras Gully Road and walked down to the Glenbrook Creek junction. I walked out via the Wiggins Track.
I was pleased to find a lot of the striking light blue Entoloma virescens (now called Inocephalus virescens) out in one spot I had seen them on previous trips.
Here are some that I spotted. There were quite a few boletes.
Austroboletus lacunosis
Helotium terrestre
Bolete
Clavaria fragilis
Cyptotrama asprata
Ophiocordyceps robertsii
Cordyceps tenuipes
This one was going on the bottom of a log –
Austroboletus lacunosis
Hygrocybe sp.
Lycoperdon subincarnatum
Entoloma sp.
Ophiocordyceps robertsii
Pluteus sp.
Ramaria sp.
I am not sure what this one is – next two photos –
Clavulinopsis sulcata
Hygrocybe sp.
Inocephalus virescens group
Austroboletus lacunosis
Perhaps Galerina sp.
Amanita sp.
Armillaria sp.
Hygrocybe sp.
Inocephalus virescens group
This was called Hygrocybe austropratensis, but is now called Cuphophyllus austropratensis
Amanita sp.
Perhaps Boletellus obscurecocinneus
