I visited Barton Park in the morning, and in the afternoon I visited Sydney Park – which I will post about separately.
At Barton Park, I saw a good range of birds. Perhaps more were out because it was a nice sunny morning following a cold wet day?
Here are some –
Superb Fairy-wren
Red-browed Finch
Brown Quail
Pied Stilt
Silvereye
Brown Honeyeater
Superb Fairy-wrens
Royal Spoonbill
Red Wattlebird
New Holland Honeyeater
Pied Stilts
Great Egret
Royal Spoonbill
Yellow-tailed Black CockatoosÂ
I spotted a Brown Goshawk luring in the trees. But it flew off before I could get a good photo.
One consequence was that all the Pied Stilts flew off and left the area.
Nankeen Kestrel
The Kestrel was hunting in the old sporting fields.
Superb Fairy-wren
Grey Goshawk
Yellow-rumped Thornbill
White-faced Heron
Golden-headed Cisticola
