It had been raining in Sydney for a few days, and I was keen to get out. I was constantly checking the weather radar seeing where it was raining, and on the day, it did look a lot less wet up the Blue Mountains, and that is where I should have gone. But I had left it a bit late to get away, so I did a short trip to Wolli Creek along the Two Valleys Track between Bexley North and Turrella.
As it turned out it was raining for the entire duration of my walk. Light rain, but it did not relent.
I was well prepared with parka and overpants as well as an umbrella. The umbrella was very useful to shield my camera from the rain when I did stop to take some photos.
Wolli Creek and its small feeder creeks were very impressive due to the rain.
On my way down the track, I met another bushwalker also crazy enough to be out on a wet day who was photographing too. A guy called Stephen.
Lower down the valley, at the Flying Fox Camp – all the flying foxes were very quiet, trying as best they could to wrap themselves up in their wings to keep the rain off.
