Wolli Creek Fungi – 15 May 2024

After a good morning spent on the Lane Cove River, I decided to visit Wolli Ck Regional Park for an afternoon trip. I was joined by Valerie – and we met at Girrahween Park. We had limited time – and we only went down to the old swimming pool and back, but we found some nice fungi out.

One reason for the  visit was to check on the Hygrocybe taekeri that I had found on my last visit. I wanted to know how it was going.

Here is some of the fungi we found –

Ramariopsis crocea

Hygrocybe taekeri

We found quite a few of this rare waxcap, and a lot more coming up.

Gliophorus graminicolor

I was good to find another waxcap!

Clavulina sp.

Cuphophyllus austropratensis
