Wolli Creek Fungi – 29 May 2024

I had a few hours spare in the morning, so I made a visit to get an update on the fungi at Wolli Creek. I only had time to check out the area around Girrahween Park – downstream to the climbing area.

Here is some of the fungi  I saw –

Cuphophyllus austropratensis

Cortinarius phalarus

This Cortinarius is distinctive with a volva.

Cortinarius archeri

Clavulinopsis sulcata

Aseroë rubra

Inocybe sp.

Gliophorus graminicolor

Humidicutis viridimagentea

This was one species that I had been looking for on the previous Saturday visit, and earlier.  It was great to see it finally appearing again. It is rare.

Clavulina cinerea

Gliophorus graminicolor

Hygrocybe taekeri

Cortinarius sp.

This Cortinarius is distinctive with a brown cap and blue stipe.

Anthracobia muelleri

Amanita sp.

Anthracobia muelleri

Lycoperdon perlatum

Ramariopsis crocea

Boletellus sinapipes

It had been a short but very productive visit.
