This was another interesting walk led by Brian Everingham for the National Parks Association of NSW. We walked down the Mowlee Ridge (on the Marley Firetrail), to just above Little Marley Beach in Royal National Park.

Brian had led a similar walk down the Mowlee Ridge last year. That one had been in June and we had seen some interesting geology, some Aboriginal sites and plenty of birds. This time the highlight was a magnificent display of coastal heath wildflowers. Continue reading

So I boarded one of the new Mariyung – D Set Trains at Central. It was a ten car set – comprised of a set of four cars and a set of 6 cars coupled together. Continue reading
I attended a walk that Brian Everingham organised for the National Parks Association of NSW. The plan was to walk along the upper, heath section of the Wallumarra Track in Royal National Park. But before that, we visited the south end of Lady Carrington Drive and a short part of the Forest Path to look for any orchids that may be out.

In the party was Brian, Valerie, Sue, Elaine, Nerine, Ken and Helen.
First the orchids – Continue reading
