I attended the field study held at Mill Creek with the Sydney Fungal Studies Group. Mill Creek is an interesting and beautiful place on the Hawkesbury River, and within Dharag National Park. Because of its location, the fungi is often different to that seen in the rainforest gullies of Sydney and the Blue Mountains.
We did find a fair bit of fungi out.

Bob and myself travelled back out to Kings Tableland to look at some more Aboriginal art sites. We found most of the sites we were after, but they were not as impressive as the ones seen a week earlier, but they were still very interesting.

After finding some great fungi at Ferndale Park the day before, I decided to head up to Springwood and see what fungi was out now at Birdwood Gully at Springwood. Sue joined me. It turned out the fungi was not as good as I was hoping for, but we still found a pretty good variety out, including a number of waxcaps (but each not that abundant).

A group of friends that normally walk with Brian Everingham on his NPA walks, decided to visit Oatley Park, as Brian was overseas, so not around to organise his usual walks. In the group were Judy, Sue, Deb, Derek and myself.

I made another visit to Long Reef, again with the principal aim of photographing the local Ospreys. I had a reasonable day. There were plenty of Ospreys, but they were not that active compared to other visits.

I travelled up to Springwood with Sue and we headed down to Birdwood Gully to see what fungi we could find. After recent rain, I was quite hopeful that a lot would be out, but we were a bit disappointed. We found some nice fungi, but not as much as were were hoping for, even though the track was quite wet in places, and the leeches were out. But, we also found quite a few orchids in flower.
