I spent an interesting morning at Barton Park photographing birds. Most of the birds I saw were at The Landing Lights Wetland and its hinterland.

Walking up to Landing Light Wetland, I could see a White-faced Heron on top of the sawer vent –

There were plenty of the usual Pied Stilts –

And two Royal Spoonbills –

I saw briefly a Striated Heron –

More Pied Stilts –

Here is a Little Pied Cormorant and a Great Egret –

I heard the call of a Golden-headed Cisticola, and soon spotted it –

There were two Black-fronted Dotterels on the mudflats –

And then a Black-fronted Dotterel flew past –

More Golden-headed Cisticola –

And then a Black-faced Cuckoo-shrike flew past –

Back to the Golden-headed Cisticola –

One of the Great Egrets flew up into a tree 0

Before leaving, I photographed some Welcome Swallows in Riverine Park –

I then heard some alarm calls, and looked up and spotted a Grey Goshawk –
