This was another walk led by Brian Everingham for the National Parks Association of NSW. We set of from Wattamolla, in Royal National Park, and walked south along the Coast Track to Eagle Rock and then back the same way.

This is a great walk along the stunning sea cliffs of Royal National Park.
Here are some photos –

New Holland Honeyeater

We first walked up to Boy Martin Point (wrongly labelled as Providential Point on some maps, Providential Point in on the north side).

There are some great sea cliffs here.

Looking south to Curracurrang –

We could see some Egrets, Cormorants and Herons on the rocks.

We stopped for a break where the track passes a very fine lookout.

Then the track passes through a section of coastal heath.

And just over the hill, we reached Eagle Rock at Curracurrong. This was a good place to stop for lunch.

Then it was time to walk back.

White-faced Heron

This had been a very pleasant walk. Many thanks to Brian for leading it, and for a lift from Engadine Station.
On the way out of Royal National Park, we stopped off to look for some orchids. We found a few out in flower.
