I made a short morning visit to Wolli Creek Regional Park, to photograph some of the birds there. I started off near Paperbark Creek, then walked downstream to near the rock climb crags and then walked back to Earlwood.

The birds seemed quite active while I there. It had been raining, but now the sun was out.
Near Paperbark Creek there were quite a few Grey Fantails –

Variegated Fairy-wren

Silvereyes

White-browed Scrubwren

Silvereye

Great Fantail

Red Wattlebird

Now downstream of Girrahween Park.
Golden Whistlers

A bit lower down the valley, I spotted a Brown Goshawk fly overhead.

The Goshawk flew upstream and landed in a tree out of sight. But a bit later, it flew in my direction and perched in a dead tree, not too far away.

I was ready for when it took off –

A nice encounter!
