After recent good falls of rain, and cool weather, I thought it may be worthwhile reading up to a certain place in Land Cove National Park to see if any Parrot Waxcaps were out.

They were out. After some careful looking, I spotted six fruiting bodies. All were quiet small. The largest being around 2 cm tall. They are very hard to spot – being in a gloomy spot, small in size, and often camouflaged by moss and other vegetation. These are what I believe are members of the Gliophorus psittacinus species group.
This is the first one I saw –

And then a second –

And then these two –

In the photo above, you can see another one in the top left. I dint spot it for a while.
I was diverted by this small coral – Ramariopsis sp.

And then the last two of the Gliophorus psittacinus species group –

Some more waxcaps nearby. Cuphophyllus austropratensis –

Also in this small area are a lot of corals.
Clavulinopsis amoena

Clavaria pusio

Clavulinopsis corallinorosacea

These look more like Clavulinopsis sulcata –

Probably Clavulinopsis corallinorosacea –

Clavulinopsis amoena

Macrotyphula juncea

Are these Clavulinopsis corallinorosacea? They are sometimes branched.

Austroboletus niveus

Corybas sp. Orchids

Ramaria sp.

The next lot, I spotted walking out –
Cortinarius archeri

Hydnum sp.

Ramaria sp.

So this was a short but very worthwhile visit.
