I spent a nice day out on Malabar Headland with Sue. The weather was sunny at first, but quite cool, and in the afternoon it became overcast.

We were looking for Peregrine Falcons and also hoping to see some whales.
On there walk out we saw number of New Holland Honeyeaters –

On Magic Point, we spotted an Osprey perched on the cliffs. We moved for closer view.

It seemed quite content to stay perched where it was. It was in a nice sunny sheltered spot.

But there were Ravens nearby. The seemed to be finding shellfish.

But the Ravens would also harass the Osprey.

A passing Great Cormorant –

We had been watching the Osprey for about an hour. It now looked like it might be getting ready to take-off.

It circled around a few times.

It was looking down for fish.

It then flew off, towards the south.
We then walked out to the Peregrine Falcon area near Boora Point. There we met Sarath, another bird photographer.
Here is a passing White-faced Heron –

And then a Reef Egret flew past low down –

And then we spotted a Peregrine Falcon perched on the cliff.

And a bit later we spotted a second one, perched a bit lower down.

WE watched them and waited to see if they would do some flying.

The top one did some wing stitching, but then settled back down.

A passing Gannet –

More Peregrine Falcon watching.

More wing stretching –

Then we spotted an Osprey flying towards Maroubra Beach.

One of the Peregrine Falcon now appeared to be getting ready to take-off.

It did take off, but flew away from us and around the corner.

The second one seemed content to stay where it was.

Alana joined us on the cliffs and we had a nice chat.
Then it was time to walk out. On the way, we spotted some more Gannets.

It was nice to see a pair of Peregrine Falcons back on the Headland.
