I took part in the monthly bird survey along the Hawthorne Canal. It was quite cold, and that meant not many birds were about compared to a warmer day.
We probably heard ore birds than we saw. But here are some –
Magpies
Australian White Ibis
Laughing Kookaburra
Red Wattlebird
Superb Fairy-wren
Noisy Miner
We also saw some other birds that I did not photograph, including a Collared Sparrowhawk, a White-browed Scrubwren and a White-faced Heron.
