Visit to Oatley Park – 14 May 2026

I joined Sue and Valerie for a wonderful day wandering around parts of Oatley Park and Lime Kiln Bay Reserve. We spotted a lot of nice birds and orchids.

    I believe that the ‘Brown Goshawk’ is in fact a Pacific Baza. The horizontal barring on the body is too strong, and there are no vertical bars, as for a young Brown Goshawk.

      You could well be right. Thanks. We only had a very brief view, and it was quite high. Lots of alarm calls from the Noisy Miner.
