Landing Lights Wetland – 4 November 2018

I spent an interesting afternoon photographing the birds at Landing Lights Wetland at Barton Park.

Sharp-tailed Sandpiper

Quite a few of the usual residents were present including White-headed Stilts and White-faced Herons as well as various ducks.  But there were also quite a few Sharp-tailed Sandpipers and one Black-faced Dotterel.

Here are some of my photos –

White-headed Stilt

Sharp-tailed Sandpiper

Black-fronted Dotterel

Fairy Martin

White-faced Heron

As well, a raptor flew overhead, very briefly. Possibly a Brown Goshawk.
