Kangaroo Creek Walk – 6 December 2020

It was going to be a hot day. A walked to some nice swimming holes in Royal National Park seemed like a good idea – so I did not hesitate to join friends for this activity. The plan was to walk from Heathcote, down to the Karloo Pool in Royal National Park, then continue downstream to the Olympic Pool.

In the party were Enmoore, Su Li, Brent, Martin, Steffy, John, Chuin Nee, Jasper, Sebastian and myself.

On the walk down from Heathcote to Kangaroo Creek, we found a few nice orchids –

And lots of to her nice flowers with their pollinators –

The Karloo Pool was very crowded. John and his sons, Sebastian and Jasper had a swim. The rest of us continued on down the creek.

At the Olympic Pool, we ran into another party – we knew one of the members, Sabs. It was good to catch up. We left our gear in a shady place and then enjoyed multiple swims in the huge pool.

Thanks to Martin for cayman down this large watermelon which was enjoyed by all.

We had a lazy afternoon at the pool.

Later, when it had cooled off a bit, we started the walk out.
