Fungi at Ferndale Park – 28 March 2021

I spent an interesting morning at Ferndale Park at Chatswood looking for and photographing the fungi.

There was not a lot out, but I did find some nice fungi and slime moulds. Here is some of the fungi –

Leucocoprinus lacrymans

Thanks to Andre Jagger for the identification of this species. It grows in nooks at the base of trees such as Coachwoods. It is distinctive with the exuded red droplets.

Tremella mesenterica

Pseudohydnum gelatinosum

Stinkhorn – Mutinus boninensis and Stereopsis hiscens

Cyptotrama asprata

Mycena sp.

Stereopsis hiscens

Microglossum viride

I am not sure what this species is. It was growing on a living tree.

Clavulinopsis amoena

Clavulinopsis fusiformis

Rimbachia cf. bryophila

Lactarius sp.

Chlorociboria aeruginascens

Hymenotorrendiella eucalypti

Marasmius elegans

I think this one is Pleurotus ostreatus

And now for some slime moulds.

Ceratiomyxa fruticulosa

Arcyria sp. and Hypoxylon bovei (the black fungi)
