I joined the Sydney Fungal Studies Group for their fungal survey at the Waterfall Reserve at Mt Wilson. we met at the Reserve just before 10 am and were soon looking for fungi along the track. We had 17 people in attendance and with so many keen eyes we spotted a reasonable amount of interesting fungi.

I think this is likely to be Hygrocybe cerasinomutata (and thanks to Ray and Elma Kearney for suggesting that as the likely species).

As you can see, we found some nice fungi. I was surprised when I looked at the previous year’s survey we seemed to find a lot more.
