This was another morning spent in the local area. This time I visited Barton Park. The water in the main pond at Landing Lights Wetland was very low – and so I was on the lookout for Dotterels. I did see a single Black-fronted Dotterel. But I also saw five Sharp-tailed Sandpipers.
Most of the photos are taken at Landing Lights Wetland.

I spotted this very distant raptor, probably a Brown Goshawk –
Back at the wetland, I had been watching the Sharp-tailed Sandpipers again when they all suddenly took to the air. I looked around for a raptor – but none seemed to be around.

Then the Sharp-tailed Sandpipers returned.
