I had been meaning to revisit Uloola Falls in Royal National Park for a while, and thought the falls may be nice after recent rain.

Uloola Falls
I caught a train to Waterfall and started walking along the track to Uloola Falls. On the way there was some light rain. There were some nice wildflowers out. Here are some –
I was also on the lookout for orchids. The only ones I saw on the way to the falls was a small cluster of Flying Duck Orchids –
There were also a number of birds –

Rufous Whistler
It was a pleasant walk to the falls, even in the drizzle.
WhenI I arrived at Uloola Falls, I found the water level quite low. It seems the area had not received as much rain as other parts of Sydney. Nevertheless I took a few photos. Here is the upper falls –
It was a good place to stop for lunch. Near the falls are some attractive trees –
I then set off for the Karloo Pool. More pleasant walking. On the way I saw a Large Tongue Orchid –
At the Karloo Pool I stopped for some more photography. First I spotted one of the resident birds – a Rock Warbler –
Then I took a few photos of the cascades near the pool –
I then set off for the last part of the bushwalk – along the track to Heathcote. Some more birds –
