Royal National Park Coastal Track 25-26 March 2019

This was a solo photographic walk along the Coastal Track in Royal National Park. I started the walk from Otford and finished at Bundeena.

On this trip, I concentrated on photos near the rock platforms south of Burning Palms. These rock platforms can get quite crowded with Instagrammers, and to get good landscape photos you need low tides and swell to access the platforms and wait until the Instagrammers have left. Hopefully!

Here are some photos from the first part of the walk –

And more photos as I walked north to Bundeena –

Not far past this I spotted a Grey Goshawk perched on a dead tree –

More photos –

Between Garie and Wattomolla, the track was burnt out by a bushfire two summers ago. The track has been reconstructed with a bit of re-routing that brings it closer to the spectacular cliffs and more great views.

Near Curra Creek, I was pleasantly surprised to spot a Turquoise Parrot.

More photos near Marley –

At the White Slab (Wedding Cake Rock), I was astonished to find no Instagrammers had climbed over the fence for their photos. Amazing!

More photos are online here on my website.
