Greenway Bird Survey – 10 March 2021

I joined the Greenway Birdos for the monthly bird survey along the Greenway between Taverners Hill and Hawthorne Light Rail Stations. The group meets on the second Wednesday of the month at Taverners Hill Light Rail Station.

This survey, we seemed to see few birds at Taverners Hill Station and along the first part of the Greenway.

Here are some of the birds we saw –

Little Corellas

Red Wattlebird

Pied Currawong

Superb Fairy-wren

Australian Magpies

Australasian Figbirds

Grey Butcherbird

Pacific Koel

This is a juvenile. We also saw an adult male.

Rainbow Lorikeets

And some non-birds. An Orchard Swallowtail Butterfly

And one thing I have photographed before. A bees nest that has been built on a nest box.
