I headed back to Sydney’s coastal cliffs to take more photos of a family of Peregrine Falcons. I had visited this family not long before.
This visit I was able to get some better photos of them interacting in the air.
Here is one of the juveniles flying past at high speed –
This was unusual – a flock of Cattle Egrets flew past – and they were a fair way out in the sea.
Back to the Peregrines. Two of the juveniles were resting.
This adult was on guard duty –
One of the juveniles flew up. I think it was after food.
Another bird photographer, Biggles, was also on the cliffs, and he spotted a distant Humpback Whale –
There were the three juveniles in the same series of ledges. Two here –
And the third here –
A White-faced Heron flew past.
At least two of the juveniles flew down after it. Perhaps a practice attack?
And then some nice flying together –
It had been an amazing display of flying during my visit. It is really special to see these young birds fly so well.
