I joined Brian Everingham and party for a walk of the National Parks Association of NSW. We first went down the south end of Lady Carrigton Drive in Royal National Park, then looked for fungi near Bola Creek. We then walked around their Forest Path. On the day, we found a good variety of fungi and orchids.
In the party was Brian, Elaine, Bronwyn, Valerie, Helen, Barbara, Suzanne, Rebecca and myself.
A short way down Lady Carrington Drive, one of the party members spotted this Stinkhorn – Aseroë rubra –
Hygrocybe sp.
Hygrocybe erythrocrenata
Hygrocybe rodwayi
I am not sure what this one is – Hygrocybe sp. –
Cuphophyllus austropratensis
Hygrocybe leucogloea
Tiny – on a leaf – Perhaps Hymenotorrendiella clelandii –
Aseroë rubra
Phaeohelotium geogenum
Clavaria pusio
Hygrocybe sp.
Hygrocybe erythrocrenata
Bola Creek was too high to cross safely. So we set off along the Forest Path.
Gliophorus graminicolor
Cuphophyllus aurantiopallens
Porpolomopsis lewelliniae
Pseudohydnum gelatinosum
Helvella fibrosa
Hygrophorus involutus
Ramariopsis ramarioides
Hygrocybe sp.
And this looks like a waxcap, but I don’t know which one. Hygrocybe sp. –
Clavaria zollingeri
Hygrocybe sp.
Ramaria xanthosperma var.australiana
And now for a selection of orchids –
Corybas acontiflorus
Corybas pruinosus
Corybas fimbriatus
Pterostylis nutans
Pterostylis grandiflora
Acianthus fornicatus
Once again, thanks to Brian for leading the walk, and also to Valerie for a lift down and back. Much appreciated.
