Back to Narawang Wetlands – 30 January 2023

This was a short afternoon visit to try and get some better photos of the Black-backed Bittern. This was my fourth visit in recent times, and the first that I did not spot any of the Bitterns. Also, my visit was cut short by a big storm that was approaching.

I did see some other birds however.

Here is a Turtle

A Buff-banded Rail was wandering around foraging in the grass –

Here is a Grey Butcherbird

And an Australasian Darter drying it’s wings –

This Dragonfly has come to a sticky end –
