Sue had suggested a trip to the Zoo. Valerie was not able to join us this time. We entered via the lower entrance and first visited the Red Pandas –
Some of them were quite active.
Then up to the Squirrel Monkeys –
Then to the Binturong –
Then to the Rainforest Aviary –
We then visited the Sumatran Tigers –
Here is one of the Gorillas –
We next visited the new aviary adjacent to the Blue Mountains Bushwalk section. This has a nice range of native birds.

Diamond Firetails
Rainbow Bee-Eater

We wanted to stay longer, but it was time for the Bird Show.
Black Kite
Barking Owl
Condor
Red-tailed Black Cockatoo
We then headed back to the new aviary.

Then into the Blue Mountains Bushwalk Aviary –

We then wanted to visit the new Nocturnal House. on the way we stopped to look for the Platypus. No sign of it – but plenty of Turtles –

And then we visited the Australian Section.

Emu
And in the large aviary – a Regent Bowerbird –
