After seeing good fungi out in other parts of the Lane Cove Valley recently, I though it about time to check out the valley below Thornleigh. I caught a train to Thornleigh and walked out to Thornleigh Oval and then down the track to Lorna Pass and The Lane Cove River.

The good fungi started at the river – in a patch of rainforest. As I continued down the river, I came across small patches of fungi, but they were spread out over a long distance. I continued down to Browns Waterhole, and then went about another kilometre to check out another site before returning back to Browns Waterhole where I checked out an Aboriginal site.
