The Dry Canyon and Glow Worm Tunnel 29 – 30 May 2021

After a local fungal survey, I headed up to the Blue Mountains by train and got picked up by my friend Wendy, then we travelled out to the Newnes Plateau to meet a group of friends for a nice overnight camping trip.

We had three birthdays to celebrate, and so had great campfire – sharing food a drink.

It was a nice clear, cold evening and I ddi some astrophotography. But the Moon was up and conditions were not the best.

The next morning, some of us wandered down the Dry Canyon. It is always a nice place to visit.

Then, after packing up the camp, we headed to the Glow Worm Tunnel, and di the walk through the tunnel and the return through the nearby Bells Grotto Canyon.

On this visit, the glow worms were fairly poor in the tunnel.

It was  a great weekend enjoying good company.
