An old bushwalking friend Keith Maxwell had spent a lot of his spare time over the past few years, together with Michael Keats, working on a book on Splendour Rock in the Southern Blue Mountains. The book has now been published and I had the pleasure of attending it launch at Winmalee.

The authors should be commended for the thoroughness of their research. It details the story of the war memorial at Splendour Rock and the World War II servicemen from bushwalking clubs in NSW who died during the war.
